Lake level has dropped and no longer in my front yard. I can get on the ramp to my friend's dock, but just haven't done any fishing lately due to the heat. I sure am looking forward to the Fall when I can start catching some crappie. Life just isn't as good without a stringer of crappie to clean.

You got that right Stink! And I agree, I'm waiting till Fall to start fishing again. With all of the dock repairs and movements from the high water this summer, I'm sure those slabs have taken off for more stable structure. Besides, it's way too hot to sit down on the dock right now -- we'd rather be in the water close to the floating ice chest. I plan on splitting some wood next week to prepare for winter, but with forecasts of 108 on Monday, I'll have to be out there at 4am with a flood light to beat the heat.

Also tried Massey point, but I didnt hit it hard because it was too windy. Was using franks Mo Magic in Allens smoke with 1/8 T&T jigs with the biggest blades, they really flutter on the fall. At the bridge it helped to stay back and cast to the fish. They would hit it hard on the drop. Water vis was about 36" and the fish were only 5'-9' deep, its possible they were being boat shy. Have never noticed that a Eufaula before tho. On the way back at the Highway 9 triangle you could see the mixing of water from the the Gains creek and the South Canadian arms, it was as stark a difference as I have seen on Eufaula.

Where is coal creek on the map. Having a hell of time finding it.. Working in okla from indiana. Brought the boat and I am jonesin for some slabs

Thinking of venturing out on the boat today and or tomorrow, on the North end across from Belle Star Marina, are they still catching them around the bridges and is morning, or early evening better these days?

Had a great time fishing eufala until I spun my prop four miles from the ramp.. haha.. A shout out to stinkfinger for the locate... He was dead on. Fished the 9 bridge in longtown and hooked a 11 incher right away.. We kept four out of the 20 or so we caught friday evening in the hour we fished... Hit it again saturday morning at the same bridge and boated three nice ones real quick and then started dinkin it up... Headed over to the main bridge out of eufala and it was to windy... kept working towards 69 and just found sandbass.. Finally settled in on the 69 bridge and hit a 14 soon as I dropped in.... We ended up keepin 14 with the smallest being a 10.. Most where 11 -13... Met some super nice people while there .... Boats goin into the shop on monday and then I will be back that way soon..
