What exactly is considered Gaines Creek on Eufaula ?

Is Gaines Creek the entire arm of the lake from the South Canadian to McAlester ?

Or is it only far south, near McAlester, near the Hickory Point Rec Area ?

How in the world , do you spider rig in this wind ?

I thought about trying that, but then I think , when would the wind in Oklahoma be light enough that I could control the boat and all those lines.

I always work into the wind and you got to plan for it and work banks that protect you from it. I switched from a aluminum boat to a fiberglass and that makes it much easier.

Caught 8, kept 5 and all 5 were really nice crappie. Water temp was 58 at the dock and they would only bite frisky minnows. Once the minnow slowed down, no bites. Caught these 8 between 6pm and 8pm here at Arrowhead Estates on my buddy's dock. Gonna hit it again in the morning. These are the first fish I have caught this year and I really enjoyed myself.

    Three reports from Eufaula
Fountain Head Dock - Saw 3 FULL baskets this morning when I stopped in. Lots of bites in the 4-5 ft depth regardless of water depth
Neighbor went to Graves Creek and cleaned up and they were SHALLOW, mostly black crappie
Friends from McAlester went to Blocker and fished Blue Creek Monday and caught 50+, kept 20 good ones. 4-5ft deep

The 1st wave is definitely on the move to the banks....
Just another Oklahoma Crappie addict !

males were caught yesterday in 8" to 2.5' on red and chartreuse tube jigs under a cork from the bank. My buddy is going out again this morning to hit them again before the rain and cold front pushes them off the bank.
