Fishers the visibility is somewhere around 4" to 6". It's really good for all the rain we have had I would say. Visibilty on the North end is like a big dirty 0" though. Not so sure about the East side but am sure it's much better along with Longtown. Been hearing reports coming from both those areas and fish being caught. Hope this helps...Ranger

Ranger can you expound on pulling jigs?

It's running the banks at a certain depth and speed. Using 1 or 2 jigs(we are using 2) and letting out enough line to bounce the bottom occasionally. Yesterday I was setting my speed per GPS from .90 to 1.40 MPH. Depending on depth, speed, and weight of jigs determines the length of line pulled to make contact with the bottom. I will jump in on this one Redge. It is kind of born out of neccesity. We can't catch them right now double dippin or hardly any other way. We have a theory that pulling in this high stained water is creating a reaction type bite, hence the moving at 1-1.25 mph. The wind is the biggest factor in my opinion, it is positioning the bait fish, which in turn positions the crappie. Friday we had 32 keepers with a 10-15 mph NW wind and the banks that had fish were limited. Yesterday the wind was out of the south at 10-15 and there were a lot more banks holding fish, 91 keepers between Brian and Mark. I just talked to Brain and he is struggling today on the same places as yesterday due to the wind being back out of the NW. Brian and I did this same technique last year on Eufaula and Ft. Gibson, only difference was we had to be in 10-12 Fow on Ft. Gibson instead of the 6-8 we are catching them on Eufaula.

About 3 weeks ago I was over on Longtown Creek and couldn't buy a bite dippin or casting. I could see the fish out over the creek channel at about 10'. After getting bored, I finally began pulling single jigs through the tree tops along the creek channel and picked up several larger Crappie on reaction bites. I was pulling single 1/16oz jigs at about .7 mph. Got hung a couple of times but still picked up some decent fish. I've had that technique work well on rip-rap this time of the year.

Kirk this is a post spawn pattern we use to find active fish. This time of year they are so scattered if you was to double dip the banks on Eufaula you might not catch but 1 or 2 fish in adays time. Doing this you can cover alot of water in a short period of time. Like Odie stated it creats a reaction strike and in low vis water conditions you miss some fish cause of the swiping of the bait. But one thing is for sure they hit it hard and aggressive.
I can say that yesterday it was the points that I worked aggressivly cause of the shad balls. I would tell my wife get ready your gonna get hammered and we both would when I saw those balls of shad on the locator. I worked one one point and picked up 8 nice keeper fish then the shad poofed and we didn't catch another fish on it. Moved to the next point and worked em over for over an hour. There were all sizes on that point catching some that were as short as 4" to 1.60lb. We would let the wind blow us down that point for 50yds and fire up the big motor and do it again. One time I turned the nose into the wind and cranked up the trolling motor and made a pass into the wind and never got banged..scratched my head and said out loud they have moved. Turned around and with the wind in my back and the trolling motor cranked back down not causing so much commotion bang!BANG!bang!BANG!...thats the only thing different was the direction. Its just another technique to fish that works and my wife loves it cause she can sit there with her feet up and get hammered. TROLLING FOR CRAPPIE..same as using crankbaits or very close. Thats why we use it..to find active fish and cover lots of water...Ranger
