Heh, I know about those yautia's! I'm trying to talk mine into a new chessie pup...that's not going very well, and there is no way I would have gotten a 12 if it wasn't already on the boat I bought.

Fished today with Greg Martin from Moore Oklahoma and his 3 son's. We caught 50 to 60 crappie today and had 30 to 35 keepers. Easiest trip I ever had since they don't eat and didn't want to keep any fish at ALL!!! Went against my grain to throw back and watch those big puppy's just swim away like that. LOL . We started off dipping wood on main lake in 10' to 16' DOW with Slab Bandits in BLK/PINK, BLK/CHART, BLK SHAD in color. All caught fish with no favorite color. Later in the day when the wind picked up and the white caps were rolling we pulled jigs down protected banks and rap in 12' DOW, pulling BLK/PINK and LIME/CHART Beavertails and caught some of our bigger fish. WT was 82 when we started and got up to 86 before we left at 5pm....Ranger

Back to fishing after taking most of the summer off due to the heat. Been catching a few on minnows off the local dock. Finding them at 8-10 feet and the best time of the day so far is in the evenings right before dark.
