now Okie Don, it wasn't wearing a dress so how was I supposed to know!

Smokie Okie, no it didn't get darker. Are they supposed to if they are male? It was a light silver/green.

The males start showing a lot of black on the tail and the underside in and around the spawn.

Had a great trip and love the hospitality of the OK Bunch Special Thanks go out to deerhunterodie, and Eufaula Boy for there input on what was going on Ya'll got a great lake, wish I lived closer! We catch a lot of goodun's here in Mo but them Eufaula crappie's got shoulders on them like no other

Back to the south end today. Had a guest for acouple of hours too. EB came and fished with us for awhile and enjoyed the company and a big thanks for the lime/chart beavers too. We ended up cleaning 68 QUALITY crappie. EB did catch a 2lb'er and we had a few more sisters in there also. WT was 69 degrees when we got there but quickly warmed up into the 70's. Water color is perfect right now barring no more down pours in the near future. Long poling was the tactic today using pum/chart, lime/chart, blk/pink beavertails and blk/pink and blk/chart slab bandits.

We fished the Blocker area on Fri. SE, SW and NE side of rip rap and both ends. Finding the brush piles in 8 to 12' fow was key. We have several big ones marked. We also hit the ODWC piles on the North side as well as the points and shale banks on the North end, East side. The trick was to keep moving and pick up the active fish and then move on. Saw Todd pull up on a BP between two boats and put 3 nice ones in the boat within 15 minutes and in typical Huckabee fashion, moved on.

It was nice fishing with Ranger and Charlie Monday I had to cut it short because I had a baseball game at Haskell that evening. But what a great day I caught a 2lb crappie then my baseball team scored 14 runs on 15 hits beating Haskell 14-3.
Thanks for the invite Ranger I had a alot of fun! EB

Any advise on where to camp for the best fishing, as well as catching slabs we also like to run jugs for big kitties! This will actually be my first visit to Eufaula & I cant wait! Any points in the right direction are appreciated! talk to yall soon.

Ranger, I saw you on monday evening. I was in the purple and silver triton around 3 pm coming under the bridge. We, the wife and kids mostly, tossed jigs under corks for a couple of hours and we kept 12 nice ones. Threw back a few and they had a good time. They seemed to be still out off the bank some. We caught most of them in about 8-10 fow fishing 2-3 feet deep.
