DonBro, I had the same problem when I used braided. I was using PowerPro 20lb and all it did was knot up and I couldn't get the knots out. Ended up having to cut the line and re-tying. I am sorry but I am not a fan of braided line.

Ha C J I think I will leave it on one rod and keep mono on the rest. Ive had good luck with Sufix 10 lb. I like the orange color, I can see it. I sure like the way the braid lays on the small reels. With twenty lb. I dont think you would loss to many jigs.

DonBro if you like Suffix you might try Vicious Panfish in Hi Vis..Have had really good luck with it, casts easy, lays on the spool nicely, not any memory, and with 4lb I straighten #2 570 eagle claw hooks out and get most of my jigs back..use 6lb also in heavy cover and its good too...Ranger

Ranger I have some vicious 6&8 pound test I got of the internet. I tried to get a loop knot that wouldnt break. theirs alot of loop knots out there. I called vicious they resent my order. I have alot of line. MY wife and son use live bait. I found that if you snell the hook it is hard to break. We pulled crappie up a five foot bank it did great. I hate to admit this but theirs been more fish brough in the boat on the thirty threes than their has been on my crappie rods . Hard to beat live bait. I like a loop knot with my jigs.

DonBro, have you tried the Huckbee loop knot? It works great.

I have tried most of the loop knots out there The Huckabee is the one I use the most easy to tie and strong. On the Vicious I got the bulk spool of the net, that might be the problem, havent tried the regular spool outa the store. When you tie the loop knot in this I have it would cut into itself and break.
