We ended up with 31 keepers and three over 1 1/2 # or so. Prolly threw back 6 or 8. We didn't start fishing until around 11:00 though.

Fished from daylight til noon and kept 30 fishing from a boat in 21 fow. Using minnows on crappie rigs suspended right off the bottom. Fish bite was in 30 minute cycles, hot and heavy for a little while, then slow until the cycle started again.

Water surface temp at noon was 60.5 degrees and this morning the water temp was higher than the air temp so fog was rising from the water as I drove to my buddy's place. A really nice day to fish and there were plenty of boaters out.

I did catch one real nice slab on a jig, a Yum black and pink grub.

Good job ranger and that temp is almost there.......... just a few more days and nights of warm temps and the spawn will be on like gang-busters. Thanks for the report.
