Thanks scott for the advice on the turkey franks...i will take some this weekend with me and give them a try!
Hickory point yeilded 0 fish!!
I fish points with dropoffs leading into the cove early am. and late pm. they wont hit jigs very good under floats, you have to cast out and keep the jigs moving. Spider riggin and side pulling should work good too.

I hit (3) different areas here on Lake Eufaula yesterday without any luck catching crappie. I did land a pretty nice little bass, he hit a Yum beavertail jig on the retrieve.
Still too hot for the crappie unless you go out in a boat and find them deep.
It'll start picking up towards the end of September, always does.:D
AMERICANS: Willing to cross a frozen river to kill you, in your sleep, on Christmas, totally not kidding, we've done it.
Thanks for the report Coyote, The baitfish have been running along the bank by our house. Were you guy's dippin jigs in a creek or in a cove?
"Never Fry Bacon Naked"
We were dipping 2" beavertails in a creek where the wind was blowing up the creek onto a mud flat. Had a little trouble with the boat getting stuck in the mud or on top of stumps or laydowns that could'nt be seen because water visibilty was only about 2". I was actually trying to fish the edge of the channel where the water was about 12 to 8ft deep but my son-in-law kept catching fish from the back of the boat up in that shallow water. Darn kid has no idea where the fish are supposed to be. After he pulled the second pig out of 18" of water I decided he knew more than I did.:o
Hey, tell me a story!
