A neighbor of mine cleaned 41 off the timber today. All were over 10". He said it was hot an had to really work hard for what he came in with.

Thanks for the report Andy. I was pretty sure they were still there, just needed a confirmation!
Now if I could only get the time to go after 'em!

I fished down below the dam this morning and had only one bite, no catches. Fished later at the boat ramp here at Arrowhead estates and didn't get a nibble. The guys fishing for catfish at the dam were catching a few, but no one was catching any crappie.
Its still a little too hot in my opinion. But since it was an almost "cool" morning, I was able to get in a couple of hours of fishing and that's better than nothing.
I have no idea of what the water temp is currently, couldn't even guess.

pretty much stopped crappie fishing for now...waiting on fall and winter before heading out again....I have been catching some nice 2 to 4 pound channel cats off of my boat dock on stink bait...14 feet of water....using magic bait premo blood...working pretty good!
catfish no longer liking my stinkbait...fishing with liver now
Get ready, these cooler overnight temps will pull schools of shad into the shallow coves and the crappie will follow. Last year I started catching them Sept.12 and it lasted well into October.

Anyone got any tips for fishing after this cold front...looking to go out this evening.
I fear no fish
