Where is RoseAnn's?
I usually stop by Todd's if I'm in the area on Fri. and Sat. to have the Catfish. These are some of the biggest catfish fillets I've seen in a restaurant!

Todd's store is in Crowder, the Culvert Cafe and Bait Store on the right just as you get into town.
Fished Blocker Bridge this morning from 8 til 1 and cleaned 60, that is with two boats fishing.
Hey, tell me a story!

Fished for an hour yesterday evening before the front moved through, started out with black/pink and they would just barely raise the float up...hard to see the bite. Switched to pump./chart. with a 1/16oz. pink head and started dealin on e'm set @ 1.5' fishing 3-4' o.w. culled down to 12 nice ones. Again mostly females and their not finished spawning by a longshot. Here in Longtown in our cove.

Graves Creek 05-02-10
Decided to do a little afternoon fishing after Church today. Buddy wanted to go to Graves Creek so I headed that way. He called when I was going through Council Hill and said something had come up and he couldn't go after all.
So I was solo today. Got to the ramp a little after 3 p.m. and started slow trolling with two rods in my hand. Started right after the bridge and headed toward the mouth. Kept picking up one here and one there with no real pattern.
Finally found a stretch of bank where I believe they were spawning. Every time I made a pass I'd pick up a few Crappie. I used a Chart. 1/4 oz Crappie Pro head with black/pnk body and Blk/Chtr. Had a few on BG elec. chicken but not many.
Water temp was 67 to 70 near the Mouth of the Creek. The creek also seemed to be a lot muddier near the mouth, so I fished back up the creek a ways where it started to clear up.
The magic formula for me was 6 to 8 feet of water fishing 3 to 4 feet deep.
Talked to one guy who said he'd fished in one spot at the mouth all day and had 64 "good ones".
Left out at nearly dark with 17 keepers ranging from 10" to13. Best one was just shy of 14 inches.
I'll be at Crowder point Tue. and Wed. Hope the weather holds and the winds don't pick up!

glad to see they're still in the creek
Girlfriend and I started there about 6:30 sat morning after getting minners at Hichita. We had similar results on numbers but those Eufaula crappie just seem bigger than what I catch round Tulsa. We ventured downstream to the mouth but danged if I could figure what was creek and what was shallow flats when we got there. It opened up into a maze of flooded trees, brush, and real shallow water! We probably shoulda fished there but we were exploring at the time and lightning was coaxing me back into the relatively protected creek. We actually caught more on jigs than we did on minnows. Red/white tubes on 1/8th leadhead and blue/white on same heads.

Nice ones Don, and some blacks too! looks like their showing up everywhere now.
I fished yesterday morning and had 10 nice ones...still shallow on cork/jig. 22 in 2 days....not bad for bank fishing one spot.:D

Girlfriend and I went to Gentry early yesterday and set up on an underwater cliff edge that drops from 3' to about 13'. I have been primarily wading the last 3 weeks but she prefers the boat to snakes so thats why I changed tactics. We pulled anchors and left at 10:30am (3.5 hrs of fishing) and had 53 fish to clean. Threw alot back also. Amazing what at great year this continues to be. I'd say 50-50 on females/males and some females had eggs you would expect in mid March. Caught at all depths and some nice big Eufaula fat back slabs

North end!
I had a fishing day and fish fry to celebrate our district championship with my baseball team Sunday. With three boats fishing the Emarald/Sycomore bay areas we caught 80 crappie in 3 hours, some were still on the bank in a foot of water fishing corks and jigs. The others were caught spider-rigging beaver-tails and 3' slabslayers and draggin corks with stollers behind the boat fished in 6-8 FOW, fishing 3-4 ft deep, black and pink was the hot color. We had 2 fish that were 14 inches. I don't think my baseball boys had ever caught a bunch of fish like that it was a fantastic day! EB

Now that's a good story right there!
Well done, hope you made some new fishermen in the deal!
