Fished yesterday from 2-730 pm at Crowder, caught 10 kept 8. 2 were real nice. The wind was a bear, really limited where you could fish. I assumed the fish would be 10 feet and deeper, tried that for 4 hours, caught one little one. Finally tried shallow with a cork and jig as far back in the flooded brush as I could and... thump. Wish I would have tried that sooner lol. Oh, by the way jigs (any color) were producing bites in the same spots minnows were not, that really surprised me. For example the first spot I caught fish shallow, I was pitching a minnow into 2 fow around a good looking bush on a cork for 20 min, got one bite. Switched to a jig and cork and caught 5 fish and that many bites one right after another, and it didnt really matter what color the jig was. Any feedback on that?
