Don't see why it won't work on crappie, might hurt the pride.
Fished yesterday caught 14 nice fish 6 to 10 ft deep in about 2 hours. It wasn't fast but all the fish were quality crappie. Fished the brush along bridges and rip rap. Caught them on a double minnow rig tipped with jigs

In case anyone is wondering you can fill the boat with sandies out on the humps by the pioneer swim beach, finding them in 8 to 15 fow, using bomber white slabs. took two young boys of a friend and an older friend from work that doesnt get to fish much, they had a blast fished from 4:30till dark and had fish on the whole time.. He took home 47 of the larger ones and I would gess we threw back as many. Great way to get young kids involved in some heavy action. they will not be bored, sorry I didnt get pics.

Call ahead. You can reserve camp sites. They will tell you if they are full or not.

I was fishing the hump yesterday in Ponca Cove yesterday from noon to 4:30. Huge amount of sandbass and some walleye in there. Same depth, 8-15' deep. I found them trolling with a rattletrap, on one pole, and a white bomber on the other, then sat on top of them with sooner slabs. Nice bigs ones for the most part. Osage cove right off the ramp was covered up in shad and sandies late afternoon, but it was all dinks.

You may be right about that. At least they should be able to tell you if they are full even if they don't take reservations.
    Enjoy your trip!

Thanks for the offer dstreet. We were up there this weekend. Man fishing was tough! Blues, crappie, or saugeye didn't want to cooperate. We had to hurry back Sun to start getting ready to go elk hunting.
