thinking about a Kaw trip anyone been fishing it lately. Any info would be appreciated. Crappie fishing here in Kansas has been tough for me. Hoping to change my luck with some Oklahoma fish.

I haven't been in awhile. Deer season for me, but I did see the fishing report from the Game Warden. He said crappie were good at 4-15' on riprap and standing timber with jigs.

Boy you can tell it's deer season. I took some time out of the woods Sunday and fished the rip rap. Caught 25 nice ones but had to work for them. Caught them from 12 to 15 ft in the brush piles. Picked up 4 or 5 in different spots so had to move a lot.

I fished 3 times last week, Robert (WSD) was here for Deer hunting and fishing, We fished Mon, Wed and Fri, Mon and Wed we fished after the morning hunt and were on the water by 2 till dark and had 11 mon 12 wed, all cast and draggin piles, anything with some pearl in it, Water temp was 67 but has dropped t 63 after front and rain Friday, Friday we fished from 8 to 2 an had 21, a lot of fish in the 1.25 range. piles from 10 to 20 from the dam to washunga, seemed each pile had a couple good fish on them.. FISHING WAS MUCH BETTER THAN THE HUNTING!!!!

Went out this morning. The wind was shifting a bit and pretty stout at 20 mph.
I could catch one per brush pile. Suspect trolling motor prop wash was disturbing them.
All I could find was at 8'. Got enough for dinner, when the wife called and I needed to get home. Out for an hour.

On the water most of the day yesterday with my wife, we had a great time, She wanted to mostly dip piles as she's not all that into draggin yet, she worked her magic with the Bonehead 10ft rod and slimsticks, and I used the Huckabee 11 ft pulling rods with mostly Mikes bait, fish were tight to the wood, in 10 to 20 but with more starting to stack in the 20's. Water temp was 61, I cleaned 20 fish and maybe 10 of them were in the 1.25 to 1.5 range. had to be moving as there wasn't more than a couple per pile.
