Has a great day of fishing Monday on Kaw. Was able to catch a limit of nice fish in about 2 hours after I found them in 27 to 32 FOW. 1/8 oz black and pink jigs.

Well, I'd love to answer my own question but we took our time eating breakfast in Blackwell. All I can confirm is the One Stop opens prior to 7:45am. Beautiful day to be on the water Saturday. Caught 10 due to a few 'minor' boat issues. First trip out for the year always holds a few surprises. Fish were ~18-20ft down in the tops of brush....well, the few we caught were.

Had a great weekend on Kaw, Friday we caught 60 and sat 44, Lake was a little crowded and several piles with boats already on them by the time I got out, all came out of 30 fow and fish were all caught 23ft deep, Jigs, smaller baits seem to be the ticket right now for me, anything minnow colored and a little flash doesnt hurt either. dstreet

Area lakes around Kaw are producing as well. 13" was the biggest. Caught 29 crappie and 3 sand bass.
