I've got those maps but unless I'm missing it, they don't name the majority of the points, creeks, coves, etc that are mentioned in these threads.
Made our first trip down to Kaw yesterday. A little cool, but a nice day on the water. Unfortunately thats about where the good news ended. Caught all of 4 crappie, 3 of which were quality fish. Water temp in the main channel at Sarge Creek was 54-55F, water temp at the bridge in Washunga was 57F. Caught our fish in ~10-12fow in the rocks. Quality fish, just not much for quantity.
Fished the creeks this weekend, averaged 15 to 20 everyday, caught most in less than 3 fow, all on jigs. Several over 1 3/4 lbs.
Fished the creeks again this weekend, averaged 20 t0 30 fish, and over half were over 1.5 lbs. males up on the banks and females out in 3 to 5 fow. all on jigs. blk/chrt and white/chrt. Im sure this front will knock them back a bit but a little slow down may help...
Fished Beaver Creek today with about 7 other boats. WT was at 59 when I got there and by 3PM was at 61. I never got a bump in 4 hours. Others I talked to was having about the same luck. I did see 1 guy catch a nice one. Everyone was dippin a single jig.
Has anyone heard up to date information on the white bass?? Have they made the big push into Ks yet??
According to the wildlife department report out today, the sandy's are still stacked in the lake waiting on warmer water. I'm headed for the creek in the morning.
