I circled it a couple of times last weekend just to look at depth and underwater structure. Nothing jumped at me to say this was a hot spot but it looked nice. Bet its a nice spawning area since its all light gravel.

Could someone tell me where any free boat ramps are on the lake that are not in some remote location and I don't have to worry as much about everything getting stolen?
Most ramps require a day use fee except for a few. Paradise Marina east of the Highway 51 bridge but parking is limited. Sequoyah Bay Marina, however the floods dislocated the restaurant and slips and I am not sure if it is open to boat loading and unloading. Rocky Point, Blue Bill Point, Taylors Ferry North and South and Flat Rock Creek Ramps are good. However if a thief wants it then it better be locked down or locked up. There is no way to predict what a bad guy or gal will do or steal. All of those areas have varying degrees of campers/fisherman.
Thanks Frank. I am aware of the fees at the Corps parks and I did unload the other day at Sequoyah Bay Marina. They have the restaurant I guess tied up to the slips and you have to motor all the way around to the back of the cove to even get out. On the north side of the slips it was only 4 FOW and that is with the lake being up 2'. Not a very good place in my book. Upon returning to the ramp my son was told by some guy that the ramp was a private ramp now and that we couldn't be launching there. Have no idea if that is true or not. Doesn't matter cause I won't be going back there any more any how.
Thanks for the info. Just hate giving my money out just to launch my boat any more.
I had a pleasant surprise a few weeks ago. My annual Corps pass was about to expire so I went to renew it. In the past if you had the Geezer card (Golden Age Passport) you got half off. This year if you have that card it's free! Just get a free hang tag and put your card in it on your mirror.

I had forgotten about the launch fee, years ago back when they started it I was launching up at Chouteau Bend and Mazie Landing but now for the past 6 or 7 years I'm down at Sequoya State Park. Their are a few different ramps in the area but I think one of the best ones is at the end of Park Road 30. Not to be confused with the one at Paradise, this one you drive past the marina and just follow the road down to the end. It is well maintained with plenty of parking. Here is a couple of pictures so you will know exactly where I'm talking about.

I have never heard of the Army Corp covering a public launch ramp to a private ramp!!!! Our tax dollars maintain corp lake property. I think the gut was stretching it. to confirm, you could call the Tulsa Army Corp office. Private ramps are the norm on GRDA lakes like Grand, Eucha and Spavinaw where the lakefront lot owner owns the land down to and a little ways out into the water Daily use fees(boat launch or using a picnic table, campsite) are the norm now on corp lakes
If you use the ramp shown above be careful and exit the cove from the boat ramp well to the left side (South) side of cove. It is very shallow with large submerged rocks on the right side (North) side of cove. I have seen numerous props and lower units destroyed there. Also be careful coming back to ramp from the lake. The shallow water extends quite a ways out into the cove on the North side.

What big jon says, I trashed a boat on the lake near there. Cracked the transom and destroyed the lower unit a few years back.
