That's some good fishing. I get on the lake about 2:00 and fish till about 4:00. I have been wanting to go to Gibson in case I get a partner lined up, but I doubt I do, everyone has deer on the brain.

What a beautiful day and a pleasant surprise. Caught my first fish in the fog over the lake at 7:18am and our 30th at 2:10pm. Had 11 throwbacks to small to count and 8 keepers thrown back after catching our limit and closing the LW lid. Started off fishing in down coveralls this morning with the steam coming off the lake freezing to the boat and finished with shorts and T shirt and flip flops..quite a change on the day. Crappie caught from Petit Bay to Carters Landing in woodpiles from 6' to 15' DOW and black/pink Bobby Garlands being the bait of choice

Way to go Ranger! Had a death in the family so my plans didn't quite work out last week for fishing part of the week. Slabs your day sounds more like mine. Split and stacked 15 ricks of firewood.

Will be getting the boat wet tomorrow. The lake has came up over 2 ft and is still rising so I am sure its going to be new water I will be fishing since the upper end will be rolling and dirty. Let you know how it goes tomorrow evening.

I know this is off the topic of crappie, but have any of you Tenkiller fishermen been down to the Lower Illinois lately? Is it as bad as they say it is?

I know it's like shooting fish in a barrel, but I've enjoyed harvesting many a trout from that river. I hate to hear that it could be a thing of the past.

I haven't been down there, so can't provide any info on that. I'll check into it with my neighbors down there and see what they say.
