Slabs which island is goat island?
Note, there was a really nice boat completely out of the water just north of Carlisle cove on that little island!! I bet that hurt, I would guess they had to be doing 30 or more to get it that far up on dry land.

This is "Goat Island."
I've watched boats hit the one your talking about. Some people just need to stay indoors. Lol
Yep your right about the staying indoors part! Thanks for the island info slabs.
Went out last night. Nothing major for whites over by six shooter. Just singles. Went up the lake, past the cove for barnacle Bills, around the point and saw 4 boats sitting. I don't know the name of this place. Within 30 minutes the first school came up. These are big schools, must be 100 fish, but they are all small dinks. They probably stayed up for 20 minutes at least. Went down and then back up again maybe 50 yards away. Again surfaced for at least 20 minutes. Must have been 12 boats circled around them. My little girl comes back home in 2 weeks and boat should be back in 3. She is going to love that.
I know where battleship Rick is at. Goat island too. I did not go to battleship island. I can see goat island from where we all were sitting. But again, it is all dink fish.
Next year ought to be some good sandies, there are a ton of those little 8-9" fish right now. But heck the kids don't care, my gkids even have a blast catching drum!
Those fish out in front of Standing Rock Point were just right for eating if your into eatin a Sandie...The bigger they get the stronger they get...Back in the day when I was catching and cleaning 200 aday I would cull the bigger ones and clean the 3/4 to 1lb fish since they weren't as stong tasting and alot easier to clean.....Ranger
No desire to clean white bass. I just fish for them for the fun. Why are they all so little? Was there a big die off or is that a fish people in Oklahoma just love so they keep everything they catch?
I don't care for the sandbass eating wise, but I really like to catch any fish! Just a guess, but I just thought they had a really good spawn a couple years ago.
