Thanks for the info on the meat draga rod. I've been kicking around the idea to get one and I think you just convinced me! Who'd you get yours from?

hey bigBone do you ever eat those wings? Cut in from the tail end and flatten your blade as you skin them coming back to your original cut. My favorite part. They fry up nice with big chunks of goodness.

I called Ken (Starfish) and got it. Grizzly jig and a couple of shops near Tulsa sell them.

IkenI it wasn't me out there earlier in the day, I sure wish it would have been though. I did manage to get on the water about 7pm this evening till dark. Caught a bunch of crappie in the 8-9 inch range and threw em back. Broke off a pretty good size saugeye right before I could reach it with the net, guess his teeth cut the line.

Ciller I have not tried those wings, next time I catch a batch of em I sure will give em a try, I bet they sure are tasty.

not having a boat I think is my downfall for lake fishing....I am thrilled for everyone who has one and can get on the water...trying to take all the tips from everyone and apply to my bank fishing....at least I have caught a few small bass (one hawg at prague lake) some bluegill at prague...but to catch a mess of crappie, hybrids, or sandbass would be awesome---twin lakes at Shawnee has given me tiny bass and one drum ugh...I love being outside especially on or near water so I will keep going keep trying and thank the Lord for the blessings He gives me (which are limitless on a daily basis)

Rivieboat give the docks out at fishermans point, clear bay and little axe at thunderbird a try. During week will prob be less crowded, I've heard pretty good reports at all docks here recently. I talked to a guy that been fishing the docks at night an having good success.

Wheres fishermans point? I've fished little axe and its so crowded and everyone fishes the little hole in the center of the dock. I was down at clear bay yesterday at the boat ramp and there were a bunch of kids jumping off the dock...is there another place there as well?

Fisherman's point is off Alameda. When you get to the ranger station, make a right. It'd be nice if they had another fishing dock on the north side, rather than having to drive all the way to the east side of the lake to get to Clear Bay or Little Axe.

A buddy is coming over from BA today. We will be on the bird until he has to head home. That usually is dependent on how much catching we are doing! I hope its not overly crowded with early arriving weekenders!

It won't be as bad today as it will be this weekend but I am sure there will be people arriving today. I just wish the wind would die down. Been too dang windy to do anything lately.
