Nice report. I'm surprised you didn't mention catching a bunch of catfish too. They are everywhere and we can't hardly keep them off the jigs.
I took my grandson over Friday morning and we fished until 2:30. We trolled and but also used minnows/jigs, we kept 10 for the skillet. This was Sam's 2nd time fishing with me and I think I created a monster. The kids a bigger diehard than I am, he never wants to leave
One thing I noticed was most of the females still had eggs. I think this is the 1st time I caught fish with eggs in June.
