Jig bite has been funny for me lately. One day it's hits & ticks on every cast, next day they won't touch them but have consistent success on minnows and the next time I can feel the tick but get no hook ups until I tip the jig with a minnow. I imagine the better jig bite is still a few weeks away but since I spend most of my free time this time of year up in a tree stand I'm only guessing.
