Did the same thing coming out of Eagle creek in Ripley. I had just bought my new to me boat and couldn't wait to try it out in my home waters. When I backed into the water, the ice at the ramp was maybe a 1/8" thick. By the time I got to the river(Which was clear of ice), it was 1/2' to 3/4". Once I was out in it could only go forward or backwards. Boat seemed to run fine when i got out in the river. Got it back on the trailer and had tore up the aluminum prop (Got a SS one now), scratched the bottom of the boat up and tore a chunks out of the keel guard.
Will never pull that stunt again.
