I'm sure that no one is expecting the lake to themselves. I personally think that a lot of the frustration comes from folks waiting on a report before they go fishing, they waiting on someone else to do all the work then they decide it's time to go. Me personally I will not post a report or pics but that's me I do have a few folks that I share info with and they share with me. Too each there own and FYI I have seen lake Washington fish size go down hill in the last 5 years because of reports and pics I also have seen arkabutla get almost wiped out in the summer of 2012 so yes it can happen.
I can tell you that there are people from Southeast Missouri been pounding those fish for forty years. And back in the seventies they were bringing back coolers full of 2.5 to 3 pound crappie. I have never fished there...I have just seen the coolers of fish and ate some of them.
In the 70's there was no dot com anything. And back then I don't think they used any of the special techniques, electronics, or even 1/10 of any of the "special" junk we have now. I know they didn't spider rig back then,at least the guy's I knew didn't. They do now but didn't then and caught more fish then.
It's an easy drive down 55. Lot easier than Tablerock,Bull Shoals,LOZ,etc. It's just a little further to Memphis than St.Louis.
Everybody South of Crowleys ridge are just " Mississippi Delta" people...they think they can fish from here to the Gulf of Mexico like its there backyard LOL.
Not sure if that's true, I have a grandfather that was born and raised in Tunica, MS and his wife my grandmother was born and raised in Coldwater, MS . I've lived in the Delta for a spell, and have always lived a stones throw from the MS Delta but can't say that I'm even MS Delta people. Not that has any relevance to the topic one bit, just figured I'd add it. And they do have the right to fish wherever they choose, not because of what group they belong to, but as Americans and the benefit of freedom. This topic has not been about local or non local and I think it should remain that way. Now everybody go catch some fish!
Sums it up

my original post was that he had cauight loads and not all from the big 4. Had a bunch from"the River". whichever one that was. Also my point was he had never been on Crappie.com. That was the shocker.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The sheep live in fear of the wolf but in the end it's the shepherd that eats them.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang and

I fish, sometimes I post results, sometimes I don't.
I don't care what lake your on, or even your hot spot. All I need from the report is depth and a general idea where the lake is in the US. I can find fish on my lake based off that information.
Crappie are habitual fish, regardless of water location.
The spawn moves north from Florida to Canada. Same with a summer pattern, it moves north too.
I will share spots on a lake via messenger. And if you ask me at the ramp, I'll tell where I'm going and why. Or tell you where I was and what my results were. You still have to get on the water, find them, and try to catch them. I've had guys fish 6" from my bobber and never get a bite. We switched spots and I still caught fish and they didn't.
Any good forum is a place to share knowledge, successes, and failures. There is no room for negativity, especially on a family site where our future is reading and forming thier methods to interact with others.
