You ever slung a top heavy load over at 60 from a blowout? A 1900lb bullet skidding down the road at 60.

Yup. Had a blowout on a 24' bay boat. Took out both driver's side tires.

Any time I have ever had a blowout on a tandem it has taken both tires.

Best thing to do with any tire that sit for more than 2 days is to jack them up and rotate about 1/4 to 1/3 of the tire and set it back down. 2 days later jack up and rotate again. Doesn't matter what style/brand of tire, they all develop a flat spot while sitting.
You could mark the tires before every trip with a different colored crayon at the bottom. Bet the blowout will be within 1/3 of the rotation from the mark.

I had a friend from another website that has triple axle cargo trailer that cut a corner to sharp. $850 per tire and service.

Why not just block it up with tires off ground?

I've seen a couple of pontoons/tritoons go turtle up here from trailer tire blow-outs. Not pretty and regardless of how minor, most of the time they end up recycle yard staple.

Moose, I have basically the same boat as you but I have the scissor lift trailer under mine. 6.90x9 tires on 5x 5 1/2 wheels. I was pulling it to Enid two weeks ago and blew out the left tire on I-55 about 30 miles north of Jackson. I was running about 55 to 60 when it blew. No big deal except it's not fun lying under a pontoon boat on the shoulder of the interstate changing a trailer tire with heavy traffic around you.
The tires were old and I noticed that they were only C rated Carlisle 6 ply tires. I left my boat at Enid and headed back up there tomorrow with 3 new 10 ply load range E tires. I was wondering about the weight of my boat so now I have an idea. Mine has no pontoon furniture on it so I should be somewhat lighter than yours. Hope I'm ok cause I can't afford to buy a new tandem axle trailer for sure.

Instead of buying a new tandem trailer call a shop about redesigning your trailer to a tandem. I have no clue at cost, but it got to be cheaper than a new one. Here's one ad I see pop to the top all the time.

Problem with scissor trailers is the fact that they're narrow. Actually worse than a regular trailer and make the load more top heavy and less stable. Most dealers only use scissor trailers to move toons around the lot or short hauls from the lake to the shop for servicing for customers that leave their boats on a lift in their boat houses and didn't buy a trailer at all.
