No big deal except it's not fun lying under a pontoon boat on the shoulder of the interstate changing a trailer tire with heavy traffic around you.
The tires were old and I noticed that they were only C rated Carlisle 6 ply tires. I left my boat at Enid and headed back up there tomorrow with 3 new 10 ply load range E tires. I was wondering about the weight of my boat so now I have an idea. Mine has no pontoon furniture on it so I should be somewhat lighter than yours. Hope I'm ok cause I can't afford to buy a new tandem axle trailer for sure.
Problem with scissor trailers is the fact that they're narrow. Actually worse than a regular trailer and make the load more top heavy and less stable. Most dealers only use scissor trailers to move toons around the lot or short hauls from the lake to the shop for servicing for customers that leave their boats on a lift in their boat houses and didn't buy a trailer at all.
