Thanks to this thread and Billy E, I caught em early in my yard......Had a couple spots appear dead, got to looking and you could see them suckers crawling everywhere.....Big and small........I put their lights out today!! I hope..LOL

OK....you guys know WAY more bout this than I, but here's what I think I know. My lawn guy says two months are critical....August and April. Mid August you put stuff down to kill them as the larva begin to hatch, then another application April to ward off any you might have missed in August. I'm fighting Jap. beetles now, not the army worms, but it couldn't be too much different. Just remember the two months that start with "A", and hit 'em hard. Excessive rain makes the hatch more impactful, but it also can dilute or wash away the chems. And you guys are right....sho don't take em long!!!! My guys say the APRIL application, even though you may not see them, is important to get out in front for the upcoming summer. Just an FYI.

Found out the other day that the buggers were in my lawn been noticing brown spots all over. Called my lawn service and they came out and sprayed should get them.

I live in Plantation Lakes in Olive Branch and I have my lawn guy on the way tomorrow. Not bad yet but I don't want them to get any worse.

I found them on my okra. I'll have to make a food safe spray in the morning.
