    I have tried 2 oz c and c style and didn't like it. It wasn't keeping my bait down. I got some of Scott's weights in 3 oz and just tied a few loops above it. Run the jig through the loop and pull it back through. I catch a lot of fish like that. With the 3 oz I have caught them up to 1.4 mph but that's really pretty shallow. At 1 mph it looks like the line is at about 20 degree angle. All I used was road runner style jigs

    Yes. C&C style rig. I let my weight slide with two beads one the rig. One above the weight and one below for the knot to the barrel swivel where I attach my main rig to the bottom drop. I learned the sliding weight thing from Bird Down.
