I have never understood why they claim they don't exist in MS. Go to the museum of natural science in Jackson and ther is one Mounted . I think it was killed near Brookhaven .In the water Valley area about ten years ago there was a large cat (they took plaster cast of the tracks ) near the brooks farm . turn off hwy. 32 at the water tank( south) ,go to intersection and turn west . If you were in this area I would bet you are spot on .
