My Granddaddy used to harass the checkers at a local market. He would go to check out and if something was priced 2/99 he would make them give him the one that was 49 cents since the other had to be 50 cents. Used to tear the old lady up but she would let him have the one for .49. We didn't have a lot of entertainment in our little town.
