Paul's first gout attack was in his knee and kept him off work for 2 weeks. It was horribly swollen and super painful. He's only had 2 attacks in the knee but several in his toe/foot. The doc just increased his allopurinol dosage a couple weeks ago, but unfortunately he's having a flare right now. One big problem is that there is a lot of conflicting information about what foods trigger a flare. There doesn't seem to be anything really definitive and each person's trigger foods can vary.
