Steve and I wore the crappie out at Okatibbee pushing the little Arkie cranks with the 3 oz pushing weight. We let out 10 ft of line which had it running about 8 ft deep. I just got 50 more of the Arkie cranks in the mail yesterday.

What do you mean by a 3 oz pushing weight? You add weight above the crank bait?

I know it will be a sacrifice on my part but I am willing to take all Arkie crank baits during that difficult breakin period so as not to have any crappie fisherman or women injured.

Yes, about 3 foot in front of the crank.

It's an in-line trolling weight that's 3 ft up the line from the crankbait. The weight pulls the bait down to the depth you want to run it.

Same way I used to be, summer time is when I put up my fesh for the year. Ifn I could figure out how to stay cool when loading the boat up and stuff it would be golden.
