    Those look good Scott.Did you use flaky biscuit dough and corn starch in the filling?Have a safe trip to Nada. See you in a few days!

    I used flaky biscuits and rolled them out. Then canned apple pie filling that I chopped up a little.

    Scotts pic made us want some so Carol tried out a Mr Food recipe with puff pastry, pretty good. Carol did tweek the apples a little, she cooks down apples with spices. Usually we get the cheapest canned biscuits I can find and I roll them out as thin as I can and fry in butter, these are baked which is a lot less work along with the puff pastry.

    Those fried pies look excellent fellas. I did the same thing years ago with home grown berries and added sweetened cream cheese to the filling. May have to make a batch soon after reading this post. Thanks.

    Also when you are heating your pie filling, add corn starch and water and it will make the filling thicker!Just something I read.Who's gonna bring a couple hundred of these to camp????
