Went to Sardis. It was a beautiful day till the wind shifted from the north to the SW.Didn't do any good!Took it to the ramp. Knowing this is the only usable ramp on the lake I wanted everything to go without a hitch.Pulled up to the far right side of the ramp to give others plenty of room and went to get my truck. The wind was blowing straight over the levee and by the time I got the truck the wind had blown my boat side ways on the ramp so I had to stop, get out, and straighten the boat again to back my trailer in.I pushed off, got in and drove my boat on the trailer.I hooked the wench strap and locked the latch. Got in the truck and started up the ramp slowly and was watching in my mirror when the wench handle lock came loose and the boat started to slide back into the lake. I backed up quickly and all that did was let the boat get sideways across my trailer.I had to wade out, unhook the strap, straighten the boat push it back out, get back in and run it up on the trailer again. All the while 2 other guys were trying to get out and 1 was trying to get in. If it had not been for birddown being the guy launching, I prolly still be there. He winched me up and got me all secure so I was able to pull the boat up the hill.Thanx again birddown! Here are a few pics of the day.
