Funny story the other day, we were discharging crude oil at Valero's New Orleans terminal which takes about 18 hours. As I was standing by on the bridge I watched 2 bald eagles fishing in the slack water around the terminal. As we fired up the mains to prepare for our departure, they landed on my inside barge to eat. Since they are protected species I couldn't send my crew out to untie our tow. After about an hour they flew off leaving 6 fat crappie on the bow! It was 40 degrees with a 48 degree water temp and they were catching them of the surface!
Now we know why some folks love Falconry. :-)
