    those are called handyman jacks and are usefull if kept in good condition and can be used for many things. If not kept in good condition we called them man killers as they will release and fall at any time. I wouldnt own one anymoreI dont think if you gave it to me.

    had one got loose from me years ago and hit me square on chin, dislocated my jaws. had a tractor jacked up with it. they are great if working but dangerous

    Had one take my cap of for me once. Missed my nose by about 1 inch. DANGEROUS TOOLS. But we still have about four or five of em on the place!

    Thats a handy thing to have on the farm......they are very dangerous though and if they kick out on you which they are prone to do .....it could break a leg.
