    That reminds me of my long gone father-in-law. He was a contractor/home builder who worked all over the U.S. from Chicago, to D.C., and Miami. (He actually hung sheet rock in the Watergate building.) Anyhow, every year during the holidays he would "build" a pecan pie. That's what he called it anyhow, I thought it was kinda funny, building a pie instead of making one.

    Those look good--but there aren't enough of them. Minimum of 6 for sweet potato or punkin--3 for me before and 1 for after--the other two are for everyone else. The Pecan--at least two--one to last me for a couple of days and one for everybody else--I'm not kidding either--I can put em down

    Ha Ha,I don't know why the skin split like that. I had run my hand under the skin and added some olive oil and creole seasoning. I smoked it at 275 for 3 1/2 hrs and it came out juicy and tender.

    No worries. This one is for everybody who wants to post--dont bother me at all. Be hard to leave the 3lbrs but would be worth it for the pies:D
