Wish you would have had it ready when we passed through town this morning.
I noticed the $70 Masterbuilt smoker I bought last year on Black Friday is $179 this year.
I set mine at 2 pm to 275, when it got to that temp I reset it to 250 and put the 16 lb bird in. It's smelling good but hasn't made it past 210. The wind is blowing pretty good under the tractor shed where it's sitting, wonder if that's got to do something with the temp. I added 2 hours to the timer and will turn it back on in the morning if needed.
Don't know cane, mine is sitting on the front porch of my man cave. I set it at 275 "that's the max it will go" and it held at that temp the whole time. My smoker is the largest one that Masterbuilt makes, I don't know if the element is different from yours or not. I do know it is very well insulated, the door seals just like an old timey fridge.
