There was a problem with them in shallow water like you have, but one of the updates fixed it.

Mine won't unless I go 50 plus g. Then too much turbulence. 60 plus my ducer is out of the water. Just ask torch. He told me that if your face goes numb in 70 degree weather it goes too fast lol

Ok so this is what I need to do. Check volts, turn off low battery alarm, Install updates, install 3 amp inline fuse, and restore defaults.. Guess I will get around to doing it this weekend. Explain the updates thing. Do u buy something from humminbird? If someone already has the updates can they just give you there chip or something?

go into the settings and turn the battery alarm off !!! you also said that you have it going straight to a 12 volt battery you need a inline fuse 3 amp will work !!!and what KDAVID1 said about updates , which I am one that will not update if I don't have to cause sometimes you cause more problems updating !!!! also it would not hurt to get a Ferrite EMI Suppression Core to eliminate noise interference !!!

Register your unit on hummingbird site then you can download the update and hummingbird PC which is your waypoints management program.
