On Bama and Bo.....

Bama has a great team. Everyone knows that. As far as complaining about Freeze not kicking fg's, he did what any underdog would do on the road at the #1 team in the nation. He knew he wasn't going to beat Bama kicking fg's so I don't blame him for going for it so much.
Now some of his play calling was suspect. I wouldn't have let Treadwell throw a pass, especially in a crucial situation. But, all in all it's not the end of the world and we will bounce back. I saw we were still in the AP Top 25 despite the loss.
As far as Bo running his mouth--that is NOT what he was doing. His quote last week was taken completely out of context--as usual with the media--and they made a story out of it and ran with it. What QB wouldn't stand up for his teammates and say he thinks they are better than someone else?!?! Also, his quote about putting points on the board against Bama, there was nothing wrong with saying that. Ole Miss hadn't been shut out of a game since 1998. Heck, I thought we would score too!
Bottom line is I hate Bama, but you have to respect them. They are the best at what they do. Ole Miss is fine and still gonna win at least 9 regular season games this year. A couple more recruiting classes like last year and maybe we can catch up with the Bama's of the world.

So turning the ball over on downs in the first series instead of kicking a field goal is the rite move, dont think so. Momentum changed for the whole game with that one play. Got to have points, should have been 9 to 6 or even 6 to 6 at the half, coach error. Playing sand lot ball aint gonna get it, may have at one time but not today with the caliber of players on every team. Bama is a force fo sure, rankings prove that with Ole Miss not falling out of the top 25. Hope the rest of the season is good and should be for the most part, may have been a wake up call.

I already deleted another thread on this forum this morning. Please don't get all crazy emotional and start talking about holes and getting all obnoxious. We don't allow politics or religion to be debated on here already. Please don't make it so sports has to be added.

I thought off topic was "off topic"......why can't we talk sports on here as long as there is no cursing, etc? We talk about everything else on the "off topic", just don't see the need to come down on the sports threads. It's part of most everyones lives down here.

Exactly as "G" said. Sure it can be talked about. The problem is when it gets too heated. And we all know how passionate some people are about their sports. So, I've not said you can't talk sports. I just asked everyone to be nicer about it. I deleted a thread that was definitely heading in the wrong direction.

In Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama we can be civil about most anything....except religion, politics, AND FOOTBALL!!!
