x2 on the board. Then you could have only ran with two supports. One around the chest area and the other around the knee area. This way more support would be area the heavy parts of the body instead of the head and feet.

Gonna have to put a better board on the end. I usually sit on the end of the bed in the morning and put my shoes and socks on. SNAP. Already broke the end board. the supports worked great on the bed but being a 1x2 ain;t gonna work with my fatt rear end sitting on it. Think I'll add a 1x4 on the end to support my old fat butt in the mornings. LOL

I've never seen a bed with that many slats. What are they made of?

I didn't make the bed slats. Came with the frame. They suck. ATM, their PINE. The supports I made work great to support the mattrace but that end needs more support. Going at lunch to get a 1x4, cut it and screw it in place. Worse come to worse, I can get some 1/4 or 1/2" plywood, cut it and screw it in place. Just cover the whole dang thing in plywood,. LOL The bed dang sure sleeps nice. PIllow top then firm under neath it
