Like Feesh says. Trapping works. My neighbors and I cleaned out the woods on our places this way. Had plenty of meat, too. We'll start back trapping after deer season closes. After you kill what's in the trap, move it to another location and start all over agin.

What do you do with the big, old boars? Are they still good to eat?

I shoot em and hope they run off and die. I don't trail em in hot weather, if they get out of sight I let them go. If its cold, I load them up and drive to the nearest Double Quick and drop the tailgate. They are gone within 5 minutes. If he's got some cutters, I'll keep the head to boil
I don't even clean them. They're nast and stink, and usually dull even the serrated Cutco I have. I can buy a lot of processed bacon and pork tenderloin for $100
