I don't like braid

I always use a Palomar knot with braided line. Quick and easy to tie and I have used it with braided line up to 250lb without a slip.

Me either but lost 20 bucks worth of cranks due to big cats biting the line into on the mono. Caught a bunch. Gonna at least make a leader and hook it to the crank.

John, I have found the improved clinch works for me. Tried all them fancy knots and they were not any better. I tie the knot, wet just like mono,pull tight, cut off leaving about 1/4 in tag just in case it slips a little. Never had it come loose. I cant tie the palomar right or something. Broke off lots of spinner baits and cranks with it. That's when I went back to clinch. It might not work with some of the new super slick lines. Try some different ones and wrap around a stick and give them a pull.

Thanks guys, ifn we had been slimmer feshing we would have had a fine mess and the pro was mistaken last note, pink is not the color on Nader, dang slimer bait!!!!

I always used a double palomar when I fished with braid back in my bass fishing days.
