Thread: Gout. What ya do bout it?

I am still up and hurting. Have taken 6 ibuprofen 3 aleve and 1 lortab. This mess is for the birds. Seems like the more I hobble around on it the better it gets. Guess I am loosening up the inflammation. This mess has got to go. I am getting my hi teks today and going fishing Saturday with my boys. Bull on this

that is bad news . been on meds now 15 yrs . would come out of nowhere and last 3-10 days . go to doctor , once it is full blown forget the black cherry .

Once it flares, hit the doctor. I have had it for years and take allpurinol daily. The cherries will help,but it is slow to work. The doc can get you back on your feet in a day

Yea if it is that bad, go to the Dr. They can give you some relief. Good luck, hope your better real soon.

Got a shot of taradol. Medrol dose pack. Should be better by this evening. Whew. To h*ll with this stuff. Be on Sardis in the morning I hope.

Been affected for years. Go to your family doctor and get a script for colchicine. at least a hundred. I used to get them at walmart for 4 bucks. take 2 and another on every 2 hours. I felt relief after the first 2. you will take about 7-8 and you will get the runs. big deal! much better that the pain. Doc told me basically take them til you get the squirts. takes 7-8 for me. then get on allopurinol. Now the bad thing aboput colchicine is they lost the rights to make generic and is now marketed in the us as Colcrys.. to the tune of 200 bucks plus for 30. I paid 49 for 7 one time and felt it was well worth it to avoid the pain. But bac to that script. My neighbor turned ne on to a Canadian pharmacy called Northwest Pharmacy or something or another. You will have to fax them the scrip and they will send a bottle of 100. I know in these times you have to be careful with bootlegs but this place seems to be on the up and up. Just they still can have the generics in Canada just not US. the colchicine works for me when I get a flareup. I missed the last week of duck season one year with gout. That had to have been painful.
