what ??? are you serious, though I don't doubt you - i'd argue that one till blue in the face !! as much as they cost , should count as 3 of em

What I have been told as well, tuned me against buying one.

I've searched and searched trying to substantiate this. All I can find is you must have a Coast Guard approved Type ?? so and so for each passenger. Which they are. I wear mine all the time. But, if I didn't, I would have to give him the opportunity to prove his case before a judge.

It's a WORD thing looks like, here's what I found and it says JACKET on board for each person, dont know why on or off makes a difference.

All vessels must carry one wearable U.S. Coast Guard–approved PFD (life jacket) for each person on board.

You're just proving my point. It doesn't go on to say "except if you are wearing a Coast Guard approved inflatable PFD". Like Spideychik said. I don't mind complying with the rules. But they need to be clear if they are going to enforce them.
