My nephew has a trailer for his war eagle that pretty much rusted out two or three years later after being used eight or nine times in salt water. He rinsed real good but it gets inside the tubing and rusts from the inside out. I wonder if you launched in salt and then later put your trailer in fresh and just let it sit for awhile if that would work. Can you launch with a lift at a marina? I'm headed down in a couple of weeks and would REALLY like to have my boat there but don't want the trailer issues.

I wasn't planning to do any serious fishing, just riding around the bays and looking at the houses and big boats but my motor alarm cut that short. I wouldn't haul my boat down here again for sure, gave up 5mpg in the truck and the waves from the big boats will beat you to death.

Had Lunch at the Shrimp Basket, second time to eat there. Debra had fried shrimp and crab claw platter, I had a Cajun style crawfish tails in a red sauce over angle hair pasta and we shared an order of cocoanut shrimp.

Shrimp basket is our favorite place to eat down there! The nights they have AYCE whitefish or popcorn shrimp, we are there. The whitefish is closest to crappie fillets I have found.

For sure rinse it best you can while there. I let mine soak in a freshwater lake I pass on my way home. Back it in like you would to launch but leave the winch hooked up. Got to let the boat float above the bunks to get the salt out of the carpet on the bunks. Leave plug out and run bilge and aerators for several minutes. Usually stop and gone in about 15 minutes if the ramp isn't busy. I hit a DIY carwash on the way home too and soap it up real good. I noticed you have your TM on your boat. I take mine off. Got one of those MK brackets to quickly remove it when I want to hit the salt. No problems yet after 5 years. Good luck on the alarm problem.
