Going to Starkville was similar to attending a tractor pull while attending a game in Oxford was more like attending a classy black tie football game with beautiful women in all directions. The truth may hurt but if I'm gonna cheer for a terrible team at least I'm gonna pull for the one with pretty ladies with all their teeth. Roll Vols!!! Hehe!
You say Ole Miss is a "subpar" team. I know alot of folks don't realize this, but we are in the Top 15 in all time bowl apperances and Top 10 in all time bowl wins. As far as being "subpar" you might want to check your Vols record the last few years.....you might want to say it is "subpar".

MSU went to Atlanta with a 5-3 SEC record that year. Ole Miss has been 7-1 in the SEC twice since then and still couldn't make it because dang LSU was National Champions them years. To say MSU is better than Ole Miss just because they backed into Atlanta one time is crazy. Ole Miss has always been and always will be the best football team between those two. Now basketball and baseball.....well, I'll just have to give y'all props on that.

We're both mid level SEC teams. Well have a few good years, then a few bad years. We just don't the money to pay the coaches other SEC teams do. Over the last 20 years, we've beaten y'all more times than y'all have beaten us. Y'all's national championships, well jimmy Jo bobs rankings are bogus. The AP and Associated Press have never had y'all number one

You are right about the past few years but you are living a pipe dream if you are comparing ole miss or any other Mississippi team to the Vols. ole miss is always "just a few wins short of a great year" bowl or no bowl. Would you like to compare national championships? It's gonna be a pretty quick conversation on your end.
    Roll Vols!!!!!

Do you know how you get the money to pay your coaches? You sell out your 57000 seat stadium enough until you're able to double the capacity. You stay at the stadium and eat hotdogs and drink cokes regardless of the score of the game. It's called support. You don't just "Believe" until you lose a game and then write the season off. As much as it irks me to say this, look at Bama. They had some very lean years, but still added on to their stadium. Now they'll have almost as many people as us at every game and if its not a sell out, Saban buys the tickets for his kids charity. State & Ole Miss fans are to blame. When you're winning everything's good. What kid wants to come and play in front of 25,000?

Litkenhous poll was one of the premier polls back in those days. No, it wasn't the AP, but it was still a prestigious championship.

Tenn has 6, Ole Miss has 3. I looked up some of the Tenn national championships and like the ones at Ole Miss, they are from Litkenhous and other polls, so they don't count according to DD. lol

Hey now, don't put us in with TSUN on that. We've had a sellout every home game the last 4 years. We stay for the entire game unless we're getting the crap beat out of us. Lol at TSUN, lots of them never even go to the game, the grove is more important. Then out of the ones that do go to the game, bout a 1/3 don't go back after half time. They stay in the grove n party

I've saw Neyland Stadium the last few years while Tennessee has been down and you could shoot a shotgun in a lot of sections there and never come close to anyone. Even the mighty Vols have down years and people will not pay to watch a losing team as much.
Ole Miss just had a Top 10 recruiting class this last year, so there must be a few kids still want to come and play for us. Also, we are going to break our season tickets record this year and are about to expand th e north endzone to add more seats. We can hold 62,500 now and the expansion will put us near 72,000. Not too shabby for little Ole Miss.
