Dadgum rednecks, the lot of ya! If it's not attacking you and you don't plan on eating it...leave it be!!! Drives me nuts when people kill things out of fear and ignorance. If Aliens ever make contact, I hope it ain't around here. One of you gewbers will shoot it and start an interstellar war.

So what your saying is if their happen to be a cottonmouth hanging around your property you would not kill it u would take a chance on your kids, grandkids or wife or maybe a pet getting snake bit i bet if one of them got bit you would be wishing you killed it when you had a chance

No, I would not kill it. If you are walking somewhere you can't see your feet, wear snake boots. Snakes are leary of humans and will generally seek an escape route. They are not vicious predators looking for small children to eat. Most people who are bitten are trying to kill the snake in the first place.
