John to answer your original question, the only way I can think of is to go from yor motor mount on either side with a vinyl covered stainless cable. Using u clamps to your tiedowns eyes on transom.or drill hole through transom on either side and mount 1/2 in stainless eye bolt with backing plate. May not stop it completely but would sure dissipate a lot of the energy.
I was thinking along those lines myself Cray, something to look at for sure.
Dee, my boat wont even stay on plane at 25, I like to cruise around 40 or so and run it on out when its good conditions. I use my GPS for a trackline alot and run the original track at low speed.
I have seen some crazy stuck folks have done fishing river waterways, dont know what it is but it brings out the stupod in folks.
