Happened to me this year at Sardis on April 9th. Had a few thunderstorms go through before daylight that morning but when it was happening their was not any lightning or thunder. I was strolling with a pole in each hand and everytime my ring on each hand would get close to the cut in the handle made for feel it would light me up. Some others on the lake said their poles were actually humming. I have had my line not want to go down when bass fishing in thunderstorms but if I had not experienced this I wouldn't have believed it.

I researched this when I got home and when this occurs you are definitly in grave danger of being struck. You can be struck from as far as 100 miles away from the storm. When this occurs you should put the poles down and crank up and ride. What makes it tough is the fish were jumping in the boat when this was happening.
