"I am William Wallace. And I see a whole army of my countrymen, here in defiance of tyranny! You have come to fight as free men. And free man you are! What will you do without freedom? Will you fight?""Two thousand against ten?" - the veteran shouted. "No! We will run - and live!""Yes!" Wallace shouted back. "Fight and you may die. Run and you will live at least awhile. And dying in your bed many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one cahnce, to come back here as young men and tell our enemies that they may take our lives but they will never take our freedom!" or are poles Name: frredom.jpg

    Default Sardis Rod Limit

Y'all let them put a season on crappie and you can say good bye to all these 2lb plus slabs after a few years . You start leaving more fish in the lake yearly and your going to end up with a an over population problem. These lakes are not to big for that and the way they draw down these lakes would make it that much easier to over populate. So you can choose the large slabs like now. Or you can have more fish with smaller size. There are only so many bait fish to go around.

Biggest crappie to date is 3 lb 9 oz at grenada in 1988. Still hangs on my wall.

I will say this i have only been slow trolling for 3 years. Before that I only single poled and that was mostly in the spring. And would often come home empty handed. But now that I spider rig, rarely do I come home empty handed, plus I fish alot more thru out the year.We have to protect this natural resource because some people will catch fish because they can.

I agree with some of yall I think it's more of a pressere thing.I also agree with slabin's last post,I hear too many a limit is a limit, tailgate pic's and such.I like to catch a limit also but when I head out for a day of fishing I'm just looking to catch a mess for supper. What are some thing's they could do to reduce some of the pressure?I'm gonna offer a few ideas and I'm sure I'll get some grief and not bashing anyone's way of fishing.Raise license fees both instate and out of state I'd say at least double in state and triple out of state our out of state license fees are some of the lowest in the country, but this will never happen because they (our law makers)are more worried about $$$$ than resources.Go to single pole will never happen due to $$$$ involved.Go back to possission limit when I was a kid seemed like there was a poss. limit like in duck hunting a 30 fish daily limit but a 60 fish poss. limit or like someone else said cut the transport limit down from 7 to 2 agin $$$ comes into play.I don't like the season idea but here you go single pole Jan. thru May, troll, pull crank's the rest of yr.

Ummmmmm, so you propose raising resident fishing license to $16 and Non Resident license to $150?
Oh Ya, THAT should solve everything!!!! Digger, you have had a problem with out of state sportsmen for a long time!!! Using your theory, I say raise everyone's license fees, both residents and non resident, to $200 a year!!! Lets just take the little guy out of it completely!!! I'm with you brother!! I'll still be there fishing. Even though I haven't taken a single fillet out of the state of Mississippi in over a year, if we raise the fees, I'll still fish there. After all, My tax dollars fund those Corps lakes as well!!!! With license fees that high, we will reduce pressure from both residents and non residents!!!

Before anyone gets their panties in a wad, I am being sarcastic to point out absurdity!!!

Triple NR License? Maybe I'll suggest that to IN to reciprocate for the States who do, for those who go north to deer hunt

Again, FEDERAL water, so FEDERAL money, which means every state contributes. These ain't State owned/run waters, ain't hard to understand. If you want your own personal fish, dig a pond and stock it, then you can have full control of who catches "your" fish.
